Testing prerequisites and limitations
Before you can test a PDF, meet the following prerequisites:
- Identify PDFs you want to test. You can do so manually or by using PDF Discovery option for advanced scans.
- PDFs must be uploaded.
- PDFs must have the following status: Not Tested. To see the most current status of your PDFs, refresh the PDF page in the platform.
Note the following limitations:
- The PDF checker doesn't support acroform fields. Testing a PDF with acroform fields will result in an error.
- PDF testing is subject to a page limit. The header of the PDF Testing page shows your page limit and remaining pages.
Test a single PDF
To test a single PDF:
- Navigate to the workspace or digital asset level.
- Under Find and Fix, select PDF.
- Select the PDF you want to test.
- Select Test. The PDF accessibility testing will begin.
Once your PDF testing is complete, you can review the PDF test report.
Test multiple PDFs at once
You can test PDFs in bulk.
Note: Exclude PDFs with error statuses when running bulk tests.
To test multiple PDFs:
- Navigate to the workspace or digital asset level.
- Under Find and Fix, select PDF.
- Select Bulk actions.
- Choose Test PDF. The PDF accessibility testing will begin.
Once your PDF testing is complete, you can review the PDF test report.
