The Conformance report is a tab on the Evaluation results page that shows you your conformance score, recommendations, and the score breakdown. The Conformance report helps you understand:
- Your digital asset's conformance level against WCAG success criteria or non-WCAG standards.
- Next steps to improve the accessibility your digital asset.
- How the score is calculated and the impact of the findings.
- How to select an accessibility standard for an evaluation that lacks this information.
You can also view your evaluation results from the evaluation report and findings tab.
On this page:
- Go to evaluations
- View conformance score by testing standard
- Conformance score
- Recommendations
- Score breakdown
- Prioritization options

Go to evaluations
When your evaluation is complete, we’ll let you know by email. The results will be available on the platform.
Note: You can't access evaluations that aren't complete.
To view the results of an evaluation:
- Go to Digital assets.
- Select the digital asset you'd like to review.
- Choose Evaluations.
- View the conformances score in the Conformance score column or select the evaluation name to open the results. Note that in the conformance score column, you'll find a score for each standard tested.
View conformance score by testing standard
If your evaluation included non-WCAG standards like EN 301 549 and Section 508, you can view the results for those standards by selecting the standard you want to review in the Standard drop-down.
To view the results of a different standard:
- Go to Digital assets.
- Select the digital asset you'd like to review.
- Choose Evaluations.
- Select the evaluation name to open the results.
- In the Standards drop-down, select the standard you want to review.
Conformance score
The conformance score is a measure of accessibility based on evaluations. On a scale of 0–100, or weak to strong, it shows the degree to which a digital asset meets or violates the tested success criteria.
The conformance score is inspired by the VPAT framework. It measures accessibility of the test criteria using findings by severity and assigning a status that has a corresponding score. The final conformance score is the average score of all tested criteria.

Prioritization options
Prioritization options adjust your recommendations and score breakdown to align with your remediation goals. The prioritization option are:
-
Optimize for risk mitigation focuses on the criteria with the most critical findings.
Note that criteria are not prioritized in order of those that typically generate the most legal risk, rather, it focuses on criteria with the highest exposure to risk based on the number of critical findings.
- Impact score quickly focuses on the criteria with the fewest critical findings.
- Optimize for VPAT focuses on criteria with the fewest total findings.
To update your prioritization options:
- Select Prioritization options.
- Choose a prioritization option.
- Select Save.
Recommendations
The recommendations section details the most impactful path to improve your conformance score. It lists the top three criteria, their score impact, and links you to the finding. Each organization works differently, so you can use the prioritization options for tailored recommendations.
Score breakdown
Use the score list to prioritize remediation and dig into all the findings for a criterion. Automatically sort the score breakdown list using the prioritization option that makes the most sense for you.
The score breakdown lists:
- All criteria tested.
- Number of findings based on the selected prioritization option.
- Optimize for risk mitigation orders the criteria by the highest number of critical findings.
- Impact score quickly orders the criteria by the lowest number of critical findings.
- Optimize for VPAT shows you the total number of findings regardless of severity and sorts them based on the lowest number of findings.
- Score impact. The score impact is the value your score will increase if you fix the number of findings shown in the findings column.
Select the value in the Findings column to drill in to the criteria findings. The drill in option shows you the:
- Number of findings to fix for each severity.
- Score impact for each severity.
- Number of screens affected by the accessibility issue.
To look at the findings, select the value in the Findings to fix column to go to a filtered list of the findings.
What if an evaluation isn't tied to an accessibility standard?
Some evaluations might not contain the information about the accessibility standard they are based on. For such evaluations, you must manually select one or more applicable standards, used in the testing. This applies to both new and existing evaluations.
When you select the applicable standard for an evaluation, the conformance score is calculated, and displayed on the Conformance tab.
Note:
- You must select the applicable standards once per evaluation.
- Ensure that the selected standard(s) accurately reflect the original testing request. In June 2025 Platform release, you cannot change a standard, after you select it. If you select a standard incorrectly, this leads to inconsistent evaluation results.
To select applicable accessibility standards manually:
- Go to Digital assets.
- Select a digital asset, and then Evaluations. The Conformance Score column displays Not Calculated for each evaluation that lacks the information about accessibility standards used in the testing and originally intended for the evaluation.
-
Select an evaluation. The Evaluation results page opens. If the evaluation is not associated with a standard, you must select one or more that apply.
- On the Conformance tab, select all the accessibility standards used in the testing:
- EN 301 549
- Section 508
- WCAG
Note: If you select WCAG, you must select both the version and level. For example, select WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Select Save, to trigger the conformance score calculation. The relevant conformance report is displayed.
FAQs about manual selection of standards
Do all evaluations require manual selection of an applicable accessibility standard?
No. This applies only to some evaluations.
Is the manual selection of accessibility standards applicable to both new and existing evaluations?
Yes. It applies to any evaluation that lacks accessibility standard information.
Who can select the standard manually?
Any user that has access to the evaluation can select one or more standards that apply to the evaluation.
What if I select the wrong standard?
In the June 2025 Platform release, incorrect selection results in an inconsistent report, and can't be modified. Later releases allow you to correct the error and select a different standard.
What happens if I don’t select a standard for an evaluation that lacks this information?
The Conformance Score remains Not Calculated. The Conformance tab does not display any content.
