What's DAMM Program Builder?
DAMM Program Builder is a guided accessibility program planning service that begins with a maturity assessment of current practices, using our industry-recognized Digital Accessibility Maturity Model (DAMM). This service helps organizations understand where they are today and develop a practical, prioritized plan for building a sustainable accessibility program. Through this engagement, Level Access provides insights on current practices, gaps, and priorities as well as strategic guidance, planning, and curated resources to help organizations maintain momentum and implement their plan over time.
DAMM Program Builder is a good fit for organizations seeking answers to the following questions:
- “We are ready to make the shift to proactive measures. Where do we begin?”
- ”We have limited expertise, budget, time, and/or resources. What are the right next steps for us right now?“
- “We’ve never built a program before. What does good look like? How do we know if it is working?”
- “What is the right approach for putting it all together, from remediation and tooling to training and policy?”
Program Builder is built for organizations establishing or formalizing their accessibility program. It provides the structure, guidance, and resources needed to build a sustainable foundation before expanding into more advanced program optimization services.
What’s included?
The service includes:
- One maturity assessment per organization per cycle, to identify current accessibility maturity of your organization.
- Expert analysis of your assessment results.
- A tailored annual program plan with prioritized next steps.
- Quarterly cadence to ensure consistency, support implementation, and maintain momentum.
DAMM Program Builder is delivered as an annual service. The assessment can be completed during onboarding for new customers or at renewal for existing customers. The annual program plan is typically delivered within the first month. Quarterly planning sessions are scheduled throughout the year to review progress, adjust priorities, and support continued implementation.
What's excluded?
The service does not include:
- A comprehensive multi‑stakeholder DAMM assessment or scores in each dimension (Premium only).
- Custom policy drafting from scratch (DAMM Program Builder uses our standard templates).
- Deep process development such as detailed SDLC integration or design system work.
- Hands‑on remediation or technical audits.
- Vendor contract reviews.
DAMM Program Builder is intended to support ongoing accessibility program planning and execution. Organizations seeking a comprehensive gap analysis of an existing program with input from additional cross-functional stakeholders should speak with their account team to determine whether DAMM Premium is a more appropriate fit.
What you need to provide
Before work begins, complete the following tasks:
- Identify an individual or group of stakeholders who can answer questions about your current accessibility efforts.
- Complete the maturity assessment or gather input from the right stakeholders.
- Provide existing accessibility artifacts for review, such as policies, process documentation, or program materials, if available.
After the annual program plan is delivered:
- Attend quarterly sessions.
- Execute internal actions defined in the plan.
Support guidelines
- Level Access provides guidance and recommendations. Your organization is responsible for implementation.
- We provide templates. You apply them.
- We provide insights to support program planning and decision-making. This service does not result in an audit or compliance certification.
Service fit considerations
If you already have an established accessibility program, need a deeper cross-functional gap analysis, or require detailed planning across multiple DAMM dimensions, a DAMM Premium Assessment may be more appropriate.
Note: As your accessibility program matures, speak with your account team to explore additional services, training opportunities, and platform capabilities that can support your evolving goals.
