We're excited to announce that we're enhancing the scope of the platform's dashboards and the risk management status to include monitoring findings. These changes will give you a better understanding of your website's accessibility and remediation progress.
What's changing?
The workspace-level dashboard and the program dashboard give you data on remediation progress with the number of resolved and unresolved findings, most common open findings by success criteria, the risk management status, and more.
Today our dashboards and the risk management status only considers finding data from evaluations and on-demand scans, but as of September 4th, 2024, they'll also include findings from monitoring. We're giving you more data to make your dashboards better reflect the status of your digital experiences.
It's important to note that the dashboard and risk management status will only take monitoring scans from on or after September 4th into account, so you may not see a difference until your next scheduled monitoring scan. If you don't have monitoring set up or are thinking of reviewing the scope, check out Set up monitoring to learn more.
Note: This change doesn't impact the accessibility health score.
How will this impact you?
Including more data on the platform's dashboard and in the risk management calculation means some things might change. Here are some key things to pay attention to:
- You may notice:
- An increase in unresolved findings.
- Changes in scan finding trends by success criteria.
- Changes in the risk management status.
- If you only use monitoring to gauge your accessibility, you'll now be able to use the dashboard, program dashboard, and risk management status to support your journey.
These changes give you an even more comprehensive view of the status of your digital experiences, and help you better make data-driven decisions around prioritization, remediation, and training your team on accessibility practices.
