During the manual testing and evaluation process, our testing team assigns statuses to evaluation findings to show what stage of remediation the findings are in.
When a finding is linked with a task, the task status updates along with the finding status.

Understand finding statuses
Evaluation finding statuses are split into two groups:
- Resolved
- Unresolved.
Resolved finding statuses
| Status | Description | Linked task status |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed | A fixed finding has been properly remediated and is no longer an issue. | Done |
| Not reproducible | A finding that’s not reproducible can no longer be produced on the page. It’s likely that the digital asset has been changed or updated and the finding is no longer relevant. | Done |
| Dismissed |
You can't dismiss a manual evaluation finding that is linked to a task. Note that a finding marked as dismissed and not linked to a task, does not apply to your digital asset, or is no longer considered an accessibility issue. |
Not applicable |
Unresolved finding statuses
| Status | Description | Linked task status |
|---|---|---|
Open |
An open finding is a new finding that has not yet been re-tested by our team. Once you remediate an open finding and submit it for review, the status will be updated to one of the below options. |
Backlog/reopened |
Partially fixed |
A partially fixed finding has either been partially resolved or the remediation efforts have introduced a new issue. |
Backlog/reopened |
Not fixed |
A finding marked as not fixed has not been properly remediated. |
Backlog/reopened |
Cannot be fixed |
A finding that cannot be fixed might be connected to your branding or a third-party vendor. In other words, it’s likely a component that your accessibility team doesn't have control over. If the finding is related to a third-party vendor, we recommend working with the vendor to remediate. |
