Some websites dynamically show or hide content depending on the size of screen they’re viewed on. Change or customize the viewport size in scans to get an accurate understanding of how your website performs at each display size.
On this page:
Viewport best practices
We recommend running your scans on the most commonly used viewport size, 1920 x 1080 px. Every once in a while, run a scan on the mobile viewport to see if there are any mobile-specific findings you should consider.
You can’t monitor more than one viewport. If you’d like to keep track of more than one viewport for a website, monitor the most common size and run regular scans of the other sizes.
Quick scan viewport size
The viewport size in quick scans is set to Desktop (1920 x 1080 px) and can’t be changed.
Advanced scan viewport size
In advanced scans, you can choose between Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile viewport sizes, or you can enter your own.
To choose a viewport size in an advanced scan:
- Go to Websites/apps.
- Select the website you'd like to scan.
- Choose Scans.
- Select Run scan.
- Choose the Advanced tab.
- Fill out the required fields.
- Under Viewport size, select a default size or choose Custom and enter the width and height of the viewport in pixels.
- Select Run scan.
