Cookie popups can block the platform from a executing a successful monitoring or on-demand scan, as it can't bypass the popup without executing the close action. Use the close popup functionality to bypass cookie popups.
Note: If you configure the close popup functionality and there isn't a popup to close, you'll receive a scan error.

Configure close popups in an advanced scan
To close popups on your advanced scan:
- Go to Websites/apps.
- Select the website you'd like to scan.
- Choose Scans.
- Select Run scan.
- Choose the Advanced tab.
- Fill out the required fields.
- Select Close popups.
- Enter the popup close button CSS selector. How do I find this information?
- Select Run scan.
Find the popup close button selector
To find the popup close button selector:
- Go to the first page of your scan.
- Find the popup and right-click on the close button.
- Select Inspect. Your browser console will open with the code for that field highlighted.
- Right-click on the highlighted code and select:
- Copy>Copy Selector in Chrome.
- Copy>Copy CSS Selector in Firefox.
- Copy>Copy Selector in Edge.
- On the advanced scan set up or monitoring page in the platform, paste the selector in the Popup close button selector field.
