If your website requires a login to access, you’ll need to add authentication details when you set up an advanced scan or a monitoring scan. The platform supports scanning for basic authentication and secure web authentication. Basic authentication:
- Usually comes in the form of a pop-up (or “browser modal”) that asks you to provide a username and password to access a webpage.
- Typically opens as soon as you try to access the page and prevents you from seeing content.
- Can't be scanned because they’re an element associated with a webpage, rather than a stand-alone webpage.
