The first time you scan a page, the platform automatically records each finding as a unique finding on the page.
On this page:
- What can Auto-Match Findings determine
- List new findings in the scan results
- Review a Finding history
What can Auto-Match Findings determine
Using Auto-Match Findings, the platform can then determine:
- The date that the findings was first recorded.
- How long that finding has existed on the page.
- Whether or not a finding was reopened.
- Whether or not a finding is new since the last time a scan was performed.
- The previous status of a finding, be that closed, open or dismissed.
List new findings in the scan results
Since Auto-Match Findings can automatically detect when new findings appear in your scan results, you can quickly identify which findings have appeared since the previous scan.
To go to new findings:
- Navigate to the workspace level.
- Under Workspace, select Digital assets.
- Select the digital asset.
- Under Automated Tests, choose Scans.
- Select your latest scan.
- In the Report section, choose any rule with open findings. The Findings details page is displayed. New findings are highlighted in a light grey and feature a “New” label before the URL.
- Select a new finding (denoted by the label New).
- From the Actions menu, select View. The Finding ID popup window is displayed.
Note: Selecting a new finding will dismiss its New status. In future accessibility scans, the finding will no longer show up as New. Until reviewed, the finding will be shown as New finding.
Review a Finding history
To display the history of a specific finding:
- Navigate to the workspace level.
- Under Workspace, select Digital assets.
- Select the digital asset.
- Under Automated Tests, choose Scans.
- Select your latest scan.
- In the Report section, choose any rule with open findings. The Finding details page is displayed.
- Select the finding you want to view the history for. The Finding ID popup window is displayed. On the right, you'll see the section Finding details and Findings History. The latter displays the following details:
- First seen: the date the finding was first recorded.
- Last seen: The date the finding was last detected on the page.
- Previous status: The status of the finding when it was last detected (for example, Open, New, Dismissed, Closed).
- Times seen: The number of scans where the finding was recorded in since initial detection.
