The first time you scan a page, the platform automatically records each finding as a unique finding on the page. Using Auto-Match Findings, the platform can then determine:
- The date that the findings was first recorded.
- How long that finding has existed on the page.
- Whether or not a finding was reopened.
- Whether or not a finding is new since the last time a scan was performed.
- The previous status of a finding, be that closed, open or dismissed.
Go to new findings in the scan results
Since Auto-Match Findings can automatically detect when new findings appear in your scan results, you can quickly identify which findings have appeared since the previous scan.
To go to new findings:
- Go to Websites/apps.
- Select the website you'd like to scan.
- Choose Scans.
- Select your latest scan.
- In the report section, choose any rule with open findings. On the Findings details page, new findings are highlighted in a light grey and feature a “New” label before the URL.
-
Select a new finding to view the details for it.
- Selecting a new finding will dismiss its new status, meaning it'll no longer show up as new in future accessibility scans.
- If you don't select a new finding, it'll be considered new until it's reviewed.
Review the history of a finding
To go to the history for a specific finding:
- Go to Websites/apps.
- Select the website you'd like to scan.
- Choose Scans.
- Select your latest scan.
- In the report section, choose any rule with open findings.
-
Select the finding you want to view the history for. The Findings History heading is in the details column of the page. The findings history section of the finding details will display the following details:
- First seen: the date the finding was first recorded.
- Last seen: the date the finding was last detected on the page.
- Previous status: the status of the finding when it was last detected (for example, Open, New, Dismissed, Closed).
- Times seen: the number of scans where the finding was recorded in since initial detection.
