Create and edit findings in Test Accelerator

Create, save, and update findings while you work through a manual evaluation in Test Accelerator. You can return to existing findings to update finding details, manage elements and screenshots, and correct information without recreating the finding.
Staff testers can also save incomplete findings as drafts and return to them later.

Edit a finding

You can edit previously created findings in Test Accelerator when you need to correct or add information.

• When you edit a finding, you can:
• Update finding text.
• Edit element selectors.
• Add, update, or remove screenshots.
• Remove an existing element.
• Add an element to a finding that doesn’t already have one.

After you save your changes, Test Accelerator preserves your current page, category, and pagination position so you can continue your evaluation without losing your place.

Add an element to an existing finding

If a finding was created without an element, you can add one while editing the finding.
You can add the element information, including:

• Selector details.
• HTML code.
• Screenshots.

A finding can have one element. You can’t add a second element to a finding that already has one.

You can also remove an existing element and save the finding without it.

Save a finding as a draft

Note: Saving findings as drafts is available to staff testers.

Use Save as draft when you need to save an incomplete finding and return to it later.

When you enable Save as draft, Test Accelerator adds [DRAFT] to the beginning of the finding title. The draft designation is separate from the finding’s workflow status.

You can return to the draft later to complete or update the finding.

Edit a draft finding

Open a draft when you’re ready to continue working on it. You can update the finding details, element information, selectors, and screenshots using the same editing options available for other findings.

When the finding is ready, save your changes without Save as draft to complete the finding.

Manual evaluation status

New manual evaluations are created with the Ready to Start status. You can create and edit findings as you work through the evaluation.

Finding editing isn’t available after the manual evaluation reaches Completed status.
