To track AMP bugs using your Jira instance, you'll need to integrate AMP with Jira.
You must be an AMP administrator and a Jira administrator to set up the Jira connection.

Create and configure the Jira application
In order to use AMP with Jira, you must create an application for AMP in Jira. You can do this through the Atlassian Developer Console for Jira Cloud or the Jira Administrator dashboard of your installed Jira Data Center and Server for on-premise.
Create a Jira Cloud application
You'll need access to the Jira Developer console to create a Jira Cloud application.
To create a Jira Cloud application:
- Go to the Developer console in Jira.
- From the account dropdown, choose My apps.
- Select Create and choose OAuth 2.0 integration from the dropdown.
- Name your application. For example "AMP Jira integration".
- Check the box to agree to the terms.
- Select Create.
Configure the Jira Cloud application settings
To configure the Jira Cloud application, you need to update the distribution, permissions, and authorization settings.
Update the distribution settings
To update the distribution settings:
- Go to Distribution.
- Select Edit.
- Fill in the fields:
- Distribution Status: Choose Sharing.
- Vendor Name: Enter "Level Access".
- Privacy Policy: Enter the URL of Level Access’s privacy policy: https://www.levelaccess.com/privacy-policy/.
- Does your app store personal data?: Choose No.
- Select Save changes.
Update the permission settings
To update the permission settings:
- Go to Permissions.
- Find Jira API and select the Add button. Select the same button again when it changes to Configure.
- For Jira platform REST API, select Edit Scopes.
- Check the boxes for View Jira Issue Data and Create and manage issues.
- Select Save.
Update the authorization settings
To update the authorization settings:
- Go to Authorization.
- Under Authorization type, choose Add for OAuth 2.0.
- Enter the URL for your AMP instance using this format "https://amp.levelaccess.net/api.issuetracker/user/oauth2/setSession" into the Callback URL field.
- Select Save Changes.
Copy and save the Client ID and Secret
Finally, you'll need to save the Client ID and Secret from Jira to enter into AMP.
To find the Client ID and Secret:
- Go Settings.
- Copy and paste the Client ID and Secret in a word processor or note app. You'll need them in step 4 of the section Integrate AMP and Jira.
Create and configure a Jira application using Jira Data Center and Server
To create and configure a Jira application using Jira Data Center and Server:
- Go to Administration in Jira.
- Under Applications, choose Application links.
- Select Create link.
- Fill in the fields:
- Application type: Choose External application.
- Direction: Choose Incoming.
- Select Continue.
- Fill in the fields:
- Name: Enter a name for the integration.
- Redirect URL: Enter the URL for your AMP instance.
- Permission: Choose Write.
- Select Save.
- Copy and paste the Client ID and Secret in a word processor or note app. You'll need them in step 4 of the section Integrate AMP and Jira.
Integrate AMP and Jira
Once the application is set up in Jira, the next step is setting up the integration in AMP.
You must be an AMP Organization or System Administrator to set up the integration.
To integrate AMP with Jira:
- Go to Administration.
- Select Create Bug Tracking Integration.
- Choose Atlassian JIRA - OAuth 2.0 and select Create Integration.

Fill in the fields:
- Jira Site Address: Enter the URL of the JIRA instance.
- Jira Client ID: Paste the client ID from Jira.
- Jira Client Secret: Paste the client secret from Jira.
- Select Validate.
- Once validation is complete, select Submit.
Map Jira projects to AMP
Once you've integrated AMP and Jira, you'll need to map the Jira projects where you want to send AMP bugs.
To map Jira projects:
- Go to Administration.
- Select Bug Tracking Integration.
- Choose Update Project Mappings.
- Select Please authorize AMP to use your JIRA.
- Choose Allow. This allows AMP to use OAuth to integrate with JIRA.
- Select Update Project Mappings.
- Choose the Jira project(s) that you'd like to connect with AMP and select Next.
- Expand each Jira project and choose each issue type AMP can create in this Jira project.
- Select Next.

For each project:
- Select the Include checkbox for the Jira fields you'd like to map (Summary is required).
- Use the dropdown to select the AMP field(s) you'd like to map to the Jira field.
- Select Submit.
