Welcome to LevelDocs — your go-to add-in for creating accessible content with ease. This tool empowers content creators to produce accessible documents without needing deep expertise in accessibility standards or word-processing techniques.

New add-in: LevelDocs for MS Excel
We’ve released LevelDocs for MS Excel — an accessibility-focused add-in designed specifically for Excel spreadsheets. The add-in brings the same powerful features found in LevelDocs for Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. The add-in is optimized to support and enhance the accessibility of Excel content.
Known limitations:
This version of the add-in for MS Excel does not support a validation report, centralized configuration settings, or accessible PDF file export.
Within tables, the add-in currently supports only a single header row or column.
Users must explicitly define relevant ranges as tables to ensure proper support by assistive technologies (AT).
Updated digital signing certificate
We’ve enhanced the security of our Microsoft Word Add-in installer by signing it with the Level Access Extended Validation (EV) Certificate. This update removes previous branding and provides users with clear assurance that the software is authentically published by Level Access.

New Add-in: LevelDocs for PowerPoint
We’ve released LevelDocs for PowerPoint. The add-in has the same powerful features found in LevelDocs for Microsoft Word. Use it to optimize the accessibility of slide-based content in your presentations.
Removed legacy and unused UI elements
We’ve cleaned up the interface by removing the following tabs, menus, and configuration options:
Merge/Split menu from the application toolbar.
Built-in Controls tab from the Settings dialog
Remove Empty Lines option from Accessibility Wizard > Document Settings. This functionality is now handled automatically during PDF conversion.
Use Alternate PDF Export (Apryse) option from Settings > PDF tab
These changes do not affect existing functionality.

Performance and user interface optimization
We've fixed a few performance issues and user interface bugs.
Enhanced auto-tagging batch operation adds descriptions to tables and images that lack them
LevelDocs for MS Word has an automatic function that adds descriptions to tables and images, if they do not already have a meaningful description.
We’ve now integrated this function in to the auto-tagging batch operation, for all the tables and images in the document. Existing table or image descriptions are skipped, and not overwritten.

LevelDocs for MS Word add-in
We've released our LevelDocs for Microsoft Word add-in. The add-in has the following features:
- Support for global accessibility standards: Includes WCAG standards, levels AA and AAA.
- Built-in wizards: They guide you through and automate accessibility checks in your document—no prior accessibility expertise required.
- Main toolbar: Allows you to manually fix accessibility issues.
- Automation with control: Batch processing, rule-based tagging, and smart validation, with the possibility of manual reviews, if needed. Use the batch-processing engine to auto-remediate common accessibility issues (headings, tables, hyperlinks), and thus ensure faster authoring workflows.
- Nested table tagging: Advanced tagging capability for nested tables and complex documents.
- Reporting: Extended validation report allows you to identify and correct remaining accessibility errors. Enriched with direct references to major accessibility standards, such as WCAG 2.1, PDF/UA), the report offers clearer, standards-aligned guidance.
- Accessible output: Ability to generate and export accessible output to a folder of your choice, with or without markup and revision data.
- Accessible stamps: Ability to select predefined accessibility stamps and add them to your generated output.
- Configurable organizational policy: Configure a default accessibility policy for your organization.
-
Hotkeys: Use LevelDocs keyboard shortcuts to perform common actions quickly.
