An accessibility testing tool or testing engine, also known as a rule library, is a structured collection of automated tests designed to evaluate digital assets—such as websites, mobile apps, and documents—for compliance with accessibility standards and best practices.
These testing tools apply predefined rules to identify potential barriers that could prevent people with disabilities from fully interacting with or understanding the content.
Note: Each testing tool uses its own rule library. Hence, your remediation progress may appear differently depending on which tool is selected in the dashboard. By default, the dashboard shows results from the Access Engine tool.
To select a testing tool and view the results in the dashboard:
- Under Workspace, select Dashboard.
- Under Testing tool, select one of the available options.
