OAuth is an authentication protocol that allows you to grant Level Access products access to your Jira connection.
New Jira connections should use OAuth 2.0, as it creates a more secure connection. This applies to:
- Jira Data Center versions 8.22 and later
- Jira Cloud
We'll continue to support new and existing connections between Level Access and Jira using OAuth 1.0.
Note: You can't upgrade an existing OAuth 1.0 connection to an OAuth 2.0 connection. If you want to upgrade your connection, you'll have to delete your current connection. This severs the link between all Level Access Platform tasks and the corresponding Jira tasks. You'll need to relink your tasks when you set up your new connection.
