Who can use this feature?
- Organization administrators.
- Available for all packages, for setups originating from the Control Hub. For setups originating from the Project page, review availability in the following topic: Edit a project.
After a Jira connection has been established, you can make updates like adding or removing workspace access, reauthorizing the connection, and resync tasks.

Edit workspace access
You can grant or restrict workspace access to the Jira connection. You must have at least one workspace selected to save any changes.
If you create new workspaces after setting up the connection, you'll need to grant them access.
To add or remove workspace access:
- From the Control hub, go to Tools and Integrations.
- On the Issue tracking tab, find the issue tracking connection and select the three-dot action menu.
- Choose Edit.
- In the workspaces dropdown, select or deselect the workspace(s) you want to add or remove.
- If you deselect a workspace with linked projects, you'll disconnect those projects from Jira.
- Select Save.
Reauthorize the connection from the Project page
To edit an issue tracking connection for a project (Issue Tracking roles only):
- Go to Projects/tasks.
- Find the project you want to open and select View project. If the project has an error with the issue tracking connection, a notification is displayed.
- Select Edit issue tracking connection. The Edit connection page is displayed.
- Select Review error message, to learn more about the error. Select Close, to close the message.
- Select Reauthorize connection.
Reauthorize the connection from the Control Hub
If you've set up a Jira connection and that connection gets interrupted, you may need to reauthorize the connection.
A member of your team with administrative access to Jira needs to be signed in during the reauthorization.
OAuth 2.0
To reauthorize an issue tracking connection via OAuth 2.0:
- From the Control hub, go to Tools and Integrations.
- On the Issue tracking tab, find the connection you want to reauthorize and select the three-dot action menu.
- Choose Edit from the dropdown menu.
- Select Reauthorize connection.
- Select Accept.
Note: Depending on your configuration in Atlassian the action menu might display a list of Jira sites that you can access. However, after you complete reauthorization, the connection is reauthorized for the same Jira site that was originally connected.
OAuth 1.0
Step 1: Start the reauthorization in the platform.
- From the Control hub, go to Tools and Integrations.
- On the Issue tracking tab, find the connection you want to re-authorize and select the three-dot action menu.
- Choose Edit from the dropdown menu.
- Select Reauthorize connection.
- Select Continue.
Step 2: Reauthorize and verify the connection.
- Select the workspace you want to connect your Jira instance to.
- Enter the server URL of your Jira instance. For example: test.atlassian.net.
- Select Generate URL.
- Open the Authorization URL link and select Allow.
- From the Access Approve page, copy the verification code.
- Paste the verification code in the platform and select Verify.
- Select Complete connection.
Resync all tasks
If you have tasks that have failed to sync, resync the tasks to reestablish the connection.
The option to resync all tasks is only available if the connection status is Authorized or Interrupted.
To resync tasks:
- From the Control hub, go to Tools and Integrations.
- On the Issue tracking tab, find the connection you want to edit and select the three-dot action menu.
- Choose Edit.
- Select Resync all tasks.
- Select Save.
