- Organization administrators, workspace administrators, and workspace users.
- Available for all packages.
Pushing tasks to Jira lets you update and manage the remediation process in your Jira instance. You can push a task to create a new issue in Jira, or link your task to an existing Jira ticket.
IMPORTANT:
- Before you can push tasks to Jira, you need to connect a Jira instance to your project.
- If the tickets in your Jira instance have required fields other than Summary and Description, you’ll need to configure the required fields before you can push tasks to Jira.
Note: The Jira user who created the connection will be the default assignee for all tickets pushed to Jira. You can manually change the assignee once the ticket is in Jira.

Push a task to create a new Jira issue
To push a task and create a new Jira issue:
- Go to Projects/tasks.
- Find the project you want to open and select View project.
- Find the task you want to push and select Push in the Linked Ticket column. A pop-up will open.
- From the Push task as dropdown menu, select a Jira Issue type. Note that issue types are populated based on what is configured in the linked Jira project.
- Select Push as new.
It may take a few minutes for a task to be successfully pushed to Jira.
Link a task to an existing Jira issue
To link a task to an existing Jira issue:
- Go to Projects/tasks.
- Find the project you want to open and select View project.
- Find the task you want to link to the existing Jira issue and select Push to Jira in the Linked Ticket column. A pop-up will open.
- Choose Existing issue.
- Enter an existing Jira issue ID. Note that this issue must be from the Jira project linked to your Level Access project.
- Select Link to existing.
It may take a few minutes for a link to be established with Jira.
Link multiple task to existing Jira issues
To link multiple tasks to existing Jira issues:
- Go to Projects/tasks.
- Find the project you want to open and select View project.
- Select the tasks you want to link to the existing Jira issues.
- From the header select Push to Jira. A pop-up will open.
- Choose the Existing issue.
- Enter a Jira issue ID for each task. Note that this issue must be from the Jira project linked to your Level Access project.
- Select Link to existing.
It may take a few minutes for a links to be established with Jira.
Push multiple tasks to Jira
To push multiple tasks to Jira:
- Go to Projects/tasks.
- Find the project you want to open and select View project.
- Select the checkbox next to each task you want to push to Jira.
- Select Push from the top menu. A pop-up will open.
- Set the Jira issue type for the tasks. Choose to Push all tasks as same type or Push each task as different type and set each issue type. Note that issue types are populated based on what is configured in the linked Jira project.
- Select Push to Jira.
It may take a few minutes for a task to be successfully pushed to Jira.
