Accessibility Widget
The Accessibility Widget is a tool you can install on your website. It offers built-in accessibility features for like screen reader support, text resizing, and contrast adjustments.
Automated Remediation
Automated remediation uses the accessibility widget to fix common accessibility issues in real time, directly in your browser. This includes:
- Missing alt text
- Color contrast problems
- Unlabeled form fields
- Keyboard navigation issues
Accessibility widget features
Once the widget is installed and connected:
- It detects accessibility issues as the page loads.
- It applies automated fixes immediately.
- These changes only affect how the site displays for you, not how the site is built.
If your site is integrated, you can check its status under Tools and Integrations > Widget > Websites with widget integration in the platform.
Active widget
When the accessibility widget is active, you may notice:
- A higher simulated accessibility score in your scan results
- Clearer prioritization of issues: Findings that the widget can fix are flagged, allowing you to focus on the ones that require manual remediation
The platform helps you distinguish between issues likely to be handled by automated remediation and those that still need your attention, so you can prioritize your efforts more efficiently.
Please note: Scan results in the platform show your site before the widget’s changes are applied. You’ll see a banner that shows what your actual score might be with automated remediation in place, along with visual indicators for rules the widget can help resolve.
