Who can use this feature?
- Organization administrators, workspace administrators, and workspace users.
- Available for Accelerate, Enterprise, and customers who were onboarded to the Level Access Platform before February 20th, 2023.
You’ll need certain parameters to run the Level Access APIs. This article explains how to find those parameters in the platform.

API key (x-auth-token)
Note:
- API keys are only valid for six months.
- API keys are user-specific.
A unique key you generate on the platform.
To generate an API key:
- Navigate to the organizational level.
- Under Manage, select Tools & Integrations, and then API.
- Select Add API Token.
- Define token name and expiration period.
- Select Generate API key.
After you generate it, you must store a generated token to a secure file or password manager to be able to access it in the future. You will receive notifications prior to your API key expiration. Refer to Create an API token to use Level Access API.
Digital asset ID
A unique identifier for your digital asset.
To find the digital asset ID:
- Navigate to the organizational level.
- Under Manage, select Tools & Integrations, and then API.
- Under Workspaces, digital assets and tag IDs, select the workspace where the digital asset is stored.
- Find the digital asset and select Copy ID next to the digital asset name.
Scan tag ID
A label for a scan. Create custom scan tags or use the “Default” tag.
To find the scan tag ID for a digital asset:
- Navigate to the organizational level.
- Under Manage, select Tools & Integrations, and then API.
- Under Workspaces, digital assets and tag IDs, select the workspace where the digital asset is stored.
- Select the digital asset where the scan tag is stored.
- Find the scan tag you want to use and select Copy ID for that tag.
