Known limitations
Device and OS configurations
The mobile accessibility tester supports both virtual and real devices, depending on your feature flag configuration.
Virtual device options
- Android:
- Generic Android Emulator (Android 15)
- Google Pixel 8 Pro (Android 15)
- Google Pixel 8 (Android 14)
- Google Pixel 7 (Android 15)
- Google Pixel 6 (Android 13)
- iOS:
- iPhone 16 Pro (iOS 18)

Real devices selection may vary based in availability. It requires internet connection and Sauce Labs integration.
Feature restrictions
- Restricted to one mobile app upload per digital asset.
Upload a mobile app
To upload a mobile app:
- Go to Digital assets.
- Choose the app you'd like test.
- Select the Mobile Testing tab.
- Select Upload new app.
- Choose the file format for your app:
- .apk for Android
- .ipa for iOS
- Select Open to finish uploading your app.
Start a testing session
To start a testing session, select Start testing. The testing session uses following default configurations:

- Android: Android Google API Emulator, OS v14.0
- iOS: iPhone 15 Pro, OS v17.4
Interact with the app
Once loaded, your virtual device displays on your screen. Use click and scrolling actions to move through the app and scan different screens.
Scan for accessibility issues
To scan your mobile app:
- Move the screen to the area you want to scan.
- Select Scan screen to analyze the current visible area for accessibility issues. The list of accessibility issues will populate with the rule title and severity.
- Review your results.
- Repeat steps 1-2 for each area of the app you want to scan.
View and manage your results
- Select View issue to view the:
- Highlighted location of the issue on the app screen.
- Go to the Testing results tab to view your results.
- Select a Scan title to view your scan details.
- Select a Scan title to view your scan results dashboard.
- Go to Findings details to review:
- What is the problem
- Where is it located
- Location by CSS selector
- XML element
- Guidance, including:
- Why it matters
- What to do
- How to fix it
