The Findings details page shows all accessibility findings discovered for a rule. On the Findings details page, learn about the rule, how it affects your users, and how to start locating individual findings.
As you run multiple scans over time, check the Findings history section to view data about the finding from when it was first discovered.

Go to the Findings details page
To go to the Findings details page:
- Go to Scans.
- Find the scan you want to view and select Scan results.
- Select a rule description. You’ll be taken to the Findings details page where all findings under that rule are listed.
To check the details of an individual finding:
- Select the finding. A sidebar with the details will open.
Search your findings list
Use the advanced search options to narrow down your list of findings.
To use the advanced search:
- Go to Scans.
- Find the scan you want to view.
- Select Scan results.
- Select the rule description where the finding is stored.

Under Advanced search, choose which data you want to search by.
- URL
- Page title
- XPath or CSS selector
- Code snippet (HTML element)
- Choose if you want the search to contain, not contain, start with, or end with your search criteria. If you want more extensive results, search using a regex.
- Enter the search text.
- Select Apply.
To add another search field and narrow your results further:
- Select Add.
To reset your search and return to the full page of results:
- Select Reset.
Locate a finding on your webpage
To view a finding on your webpage, open the details for the individual finding. Use this information to highlight the finding on your webpage.
To locate a finding on your webpage:
- Go to Scans.
- Find the scan you want to view.
- Select Scan results.
- Select the rule description where the finding is stored.
- Select the finding. A sidebar with the finding details will open.
- From the sidebar, copy the XPath, CSS selector, or HTML element.
- Select the link under Where is it located? to open the webpage where the finding was found.
- Open the developer tools on the webpage. For most browsers, you can open the developer tools by right-clicking anywhere on the page and selecting Inspect.
- Open the search function in the developer tools by selecting Command + F on Mac devices or Control + F on Windows devices.
- Paste your selection from the platform in the search bar. The finding will be highlighted on your web page.

A summary of the rule that the finding violated. |

Activity |
The status of the finding. Open: The finding has not been addressed. Closed: The finding has been fixed. Dismissed: The finding has been dismissed. Re-opened: The finding was previously fixed but has become an issue again. |

Indicates whether the finding is linked to a task or not. |

Where is it located? |
The page name and URL where the finding was detected. |

Findings history |
Data about the finding from throughout the scan history. First seen: The date the finding was first detected. Last seen: The date the finding was last detected. Previous status: The status of the finding when it was last detected. Times seen: The total number of times the finding has been detected. |
