AMP now allows you to keep your Best Practices, Media Types, and Tests (referred to from here in as "data items") in synch with SSB's core data. When these data items are updated in our master database you can now keep them up to date in your installation of AMP. You are offered a few options when your data is out of synch, and these depend on the state that your data falls into within the broad categories listed above:
- Updates - These are items that have been changed in SSB BART Group's database since the last time your data was synchronized
- Update - Accept the update from SSB and overwrite the stale data item that you currently have in AMP
- Ignore - Although your data item is out of synch with the latest content from SSB you can choose to keep your data and ignore the updates from SSB. You will not be prompted again to update this data item until it changes again on SSB's main AMP server.
- Resolve - This option will present you with a screen that displays contents of the data item both on your AMP server and on the main AMP server. The contents on your server are editable on this screen and you can manually resolve the difference between your data itme and the one on the main AMP server.
- Additions - These are items that have been added to SSB BART Group's database since the last time your data was synchronized
- Add - Accept the addition of a new data item from SSB.
- Ignore - Decline the addition of a new data item from SSB.
- Conflicts - These are items that have been changed in SSB BART Group's database and in your database since the last time your data was synchronized
- Update - Accept the update from SSB and overwrite the data item that you currently have in AMP
- Keep Mine - Although your data item is out of synch with the latest content from SSB you can choose to keep your data and ignore the updates from SSB. You will not be prompted again to update this data item until it changes again on SSB's main AMP server.
- Resolve - This option will present you with a screen that displays contents of the data item both on your AMP server and on the main AMP server. The contents on your server are editable on this screen and you can manually resolve the difference between your data time and the one on the main AMP server.
Initial Synchronization
When you are performing your first synchronization between your instance and the main AMP server you may be presented with a very long list of updates and additions. This is because the synchronization process has never been performed on your data. Unless you know that there are explicit changes to specific items that you would like to keep we would encourage you to simply utilize the "Update All"/"Add All" link below the section header to bring you system quickly up to date. If you have any questions about this process please do not hesitate you contact us.
